Mom's Response To The Haters Who Criticized Her Daughter's 'Unicorn' Hair Is All Kinds Of Yass

When it comes to hair, everyone's got their own style. More importantly, people of all ages can use their hair as a playful form of self-expression. And in an image shared on Instagram, hairstylist Mary Thomaston showcased her daughter's unicorn-inspired hair, a look she says her daughter's wanted for awhile.

Her daughter, Lyra, is 6 and a half years old, and though Thomaston colored the hair, she says Lyra came up with the idea on her own. The look features icy blue hair with purple and yellow accents on the right, shorter-cut side. 

But, as it often happens on social media, some people took the opportunity to judge and criticize, leaving comments like "Sometimes we forget they're little and not a little doll," The Huffington Post reports.
